Poha Chivda


Poha Chivda is snack made using flattened rice and other basic ingredients. Prepare this delicious snacks to welcome your guest in Diwali.

Ingredients :

½ kg poha

Oil

2 to 3 springs of curry leaves

2 to 6 green chjlies slit

½ tsp red chilli powder

Salt as needed

½ cup dried coconut chopped

¼ to ½ cup peanuts

¼ cup roasted gram

Sugar and amchur

½ tsp crushed cumin

½ cup peanuts or cashews

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a deep fry pan.
  2. When the oil is hot, add poha in a oil and fry well and immediately remove them. Transfer  them to a plate with absorbent tissues over it.
  3. Repeat the next batch.
  4. Add crushed cumin,chilli powder,turmeric and salt and amchur powder to the hot poha.
  5. Heat a small pan with some oil add peanuts or cashew , fry till golden add chillies ,curry leaves,cononut and sugar. Quickly curry leaves will turn crisp. Off the stove and add raisin and roasted gram.
  6. Add all fried ingredients to poha and mix well.
  7. Cool them completely and store in a air tight container.
